Volume Number 1 Kittanapatta (Table of Contents, 1 volume)

Presents all tables of contents from the entire 40 volumes of the World Tipiṭaka Edition (2006). This volume provides an overview structure of Tipiṭaka contents and a comprehensive index of all subject entries.

Part one of the reference format includes subject entry with running numbers, page numbers, to be followed by Tipiṭaka Studies Reference Numbers (a comprehensive-summary system which was introduced for the first time in the publication of the World Tipitak Edition 2005).

Part two of the reference format includes subject entry in Pāḷi alphabetically order.

Volume Number 2-5 Padānukkamaṇikā (Word Index, 4 volumes)

The reference format includes all of the Pāḷi words totaling over 155,000 words from the 40-volume Tipiṭaka edition in Pāḷi alphabetically order. Detailed information includes total word count of each Pāḷi words, Volume Number, and Division Number/Paragraph Number. Subject entry is printed in capital letters. A small italic number in parenthesis at the end indicates identification number of each Pāḷi word for quick numerical reference.

Volume Number 6 Nānāpāṭha (Variant Readings & Reference, 1 volume).

These footnotes were compiled during the Great International Council between 1955-1956 and have been proof-read and corrected by Dhamma Society between 2004-2005.

The reference format includes footnote number, to be followed by page icon for easy reference to the text, followed by Tipiṭaka Volume Abbreviation and Division Number/Paragraph Number.

The text of each variant reading begins with a short passage indicating Pāḷi context of variant readings. Referred word(s) is/are printed in bold. Footnote numbers are printed in superscript (..devamanussanaṃ buddho bhagavā), followed by the readings in various Tipiṭaka editions with abbreviation in parenthesis (syā1-3.). See abbreviation notes in the introductory section.

The information of cross reference is printed in bold with superscript in front (Atha kho verañjo..), followed by Tipiṭaka volume abbreviation and some comments in Pāḷi (see details in the Introduction)

Volume Number 14 Pāḷippadesaāgataṭṭhāna (Cross-reference, 1 volume)

The reference format includes Tipiṭaka Volume Abbreviation (see introductory section), to be followed by total word count, followed by an arrow indicating the direction of what volume is being referred. A short passage from the Tipiṭaka is sometime given to provide the necessary context of referenced text.

Volume Number 15 Gāthāsūci (First Line of Verse, 1 volume)

The reference format includes first line of verse from the Tipiṭaka, arranging in Pāḷi alphabetical order, to be followed by total word count, and followed by Division Number/ Paragraph Number.

volume Number 16 Padānukkamaṇikā Vinayapiṭaka (Word Index to Book of Discipline, 1 Volume)

The reference format includes all Pāḷi words from Volume 1-5 of the 40-volume World Tipiṭaka Edition, to be followed by total word count, followed by Tipiṭaka Volume Abbreviation and Division Number/Paragraph Number. A semi-colon separates each new entry of selected examples from different Tipiṭaka Volumes.

Volume Number 17-19 Padānukkamaṇikā Suttanta (Word Index to Book of Discourse, 3 volumes)

The reference format includes all of Pāḷi words from Volume 9-28 of the 40-volume World Tipiṭaka Edition, to be followed by total word counts, and followed by Tipiṭaka Volume Abbreviation and Division Number/Paragraph Number.

Volume Number 20 Padānukkamaṇikā Abhidhamma (Word Index to Book of Ultimate Reality, 1 volume)

The reference format includes all Pāḷi words form Volume 9-28 of the 40-volume World Tipiṭaka Edition, to be followed by total word count, followed by Tipiṭaka Volume Abbreviation and Division Number/Paragraph Number.

Volume Number 21 Sikkhāpada : Uddesa & Niddesa. (Sikkhāpada : Uddesa & Niddesa, 1 volume)

This is a reference example of a highly important concept in the Theravada Buddhist tradition, namely, the monastic rules and regulations (Sikkhāpada).

The first part of Uddesa reference format includes subject entries in capital letters, followed by sikkhāpada printed in bold with Tipiṭaka Reference Number in parenthesis at the end. The Niddesa reference format includes an explanation of key words in Pāḷi alphabetical order from the Uddesa section. Tipiṭaka Volume Abbreviation is also given at the beginning. The second part includes index from both Uddesa and Niddesa.

Volume Number 22 Aḍḍhasarabyañjana (Examples of Aḍḍhasara Consonant, 1 volume)

The reference format includes all semi-vowel consonants and example sentences of these semi-vowels which are often mis-pronounced to-day.

The reference format includes semi-vowel Pāḷi words indicated by Aḍḍhasara Sign (semi-vowel/cluster sign), to be followed by total word count. A small number in parenthesis is identification number.

Volume Number 23 Tassuddānaṃ (Index to Tassuddānaṃ Summary, 1 volume)

Illustrates the system Tipiṭaka summary in oral tradition at the end of the passage. This summary system is presented in contrast to the new printing system of the modern book-culture in the World Tipiṭaka Edition.

The reference format includes Heading Entry, followed by Tassuddānaṃ summary in verse.

Volume Number 24 to Volume Number 40, Sādhaka (Examples of Pāḷi Tipiṭaka Corpus, 17 volumes)

Have been devoted to the compilation and presentation of all Pāḷi terms with selected example sentences from each volume of the Pāḷi Tipiṭaka.

The reference format includes Pāḷi word, to be followed by total word count, followed by a selected example sentence from each book from the Tipiṭaka, indicated by Tipiṭaka Volume Abbreviation, followed by Division Number/Paragraph Number.
